Binding Mounts
For more than 25 years, Grant has mounted bindings for the who’s who of professional skiing—from Olympians to world champions in freeride and halfpipe. In the process, he’s built one of the largest collections of factory binding jigs in the PNW, so we can mount virtually every make and model to spec. We even have a one-of-a-kind, custom-built, factory-spec jig for the CAST system.
Pricing
- Standard mount: $75
- Remount

What’s included
- DIN setting calculated to your skier profile

Cast System Mounting
CAST System Precision Mount (ROXBO jig)
We use a one-of-a-kind, custom-built, factory-spec jig for the CAST system—built specifically for us by ROXBO (Germany), the OEM behind many factory jigs for Marker, Look, Dynafit, and others. Leveraging long-standing industry relationships, Grant commissioned this one-off jig to deliver the most accurate CAST mounts possible.
Why it matters
- Exact hole placement to factory spec for true alignment
- Smoother, more reliable lock-mode brake retainer engagement (a common issue when CAST is mounted without a dedicated jig)
- Repeatable, pro-level tolerances across skis and boots
Add-on Price: +$20 (on top of a standard mount or remount)
All standard mounts include DIN calculation to your skier profile and a function test on our binding tester; custom DIN settings available on request.

Binding Freedom Inserts
Binding Freedom Inserts (Pro-grade mounts)
We install Binding Freedom stainless inserts using dedicated anti-rotation screws matched to your binding model. These stainless inserts create a metal-to-metal interface that won’t pull out like wood screws can—and they’re fully serviceable for clean swaps between skis.
Grant has been using both Quiver Killers and Binding Freedom since they were first introduced and has developed some of the most accurate, reliable installation methods in the industry. After years of testing both systems, we now exclusively use Binding Freedom for their superior quality and consistency.
Why skiers choose inserts
- Won’t pull out thanks to metal-to-metal threads
- Stronger hold than standard Alpine screws
- Clean, repeatable swaps between skis (travel quiver, resort/touring setups, CAST, etc.)
- Reduced risk of core damage from multiple remounts
- Fix problems due to pulled out binding screws.
Pricing: $5 per insert (dedicated screw included)
Works with all alpine and tech bindings. Planning a swap setup? We’ll spec the ideal screw kit for your bindings.
Why our mounts are better
For 25+ years, Grant has mounted bindings for the who’s who of professional skiing—from Olympians to world champions in freeride, racing and halfpipe. Along the way, he’s built one of the largest libraries of factory binding jigs in the PNW, including ATK, so we can mount virtually every make and model to spec (including a one-of-a-kind ROXBO-built CAST jigfor perfect CAST mounts). Read below for the specific steps we take to ensure every mount is flawless.
Our process
- Fit & stance consult — Verify boot sole length, mount point (factory line vs. custom), and use case.
- Factory jigs, perfect alignment — Centerlines verified; dedicated jigs for each binding, including our ATK and ROXBO CAST jig.
- Precision drilling — We use the specific alpine drill bit (e.g., 3.5/4.1 mm per spec) with the proper stop for your ski, ensuring exact depth. All holes are countersunk to guarantee a perfectly flat binding interface.
- True-thread tapping — Where required, holes are tapped using a jig-mounted tap with a special collar, ensuring perfectly vertical taps and full thread engagement.
- Core sealing — Waterproof binding glue seals and protects the core.
- Torque to spec — Screws are torqued to manufacturer spec using a torque-limiting screwdriver for consistent clamp and longevity.
- Mechanical setup — Forward pressure, toe height/AFD, and wing tension set precisely.
- Safety check — DIN calculated to your skier profile, then function-tested on our binding tester (custom DIN on request).
- Documentation — We record BSL, settings, and mount details for future service.
- Optional upgrades — Binding Freedom inserts (metal-to-metal interface that won’t pull out).
Pricing: Standard mount $75 · Remount + $20 · CAST system add-on + $20
All mounts include DIN calculation and a binding-tester function check.

Proper Tools
In addition to having all factory binding jigs, we stock a full selection ofdedicated ski drill bits—including3.5 mm(foam/softer wood cores),3.6 mm(typical wood cores), and4.1 mm(metal-laminate/Titanal)—with7 mm depth stopsfor thin-core/junior skis and9 mmfor adult skis, per brand spec. We also carrystep bitsfor brittle/carbon topsheets, plus a completeinsert/tooling kit:pilot drills and dedicated countersinks for Binding Freedom inserts,jig-collared alpine tapsfor perfectly vertical threads, anddedicated taps/countersinks for both alpine screws and Binding Freedom inserts. This ensures exact hole depth, clean thread engagement, and a perfectly flat binding interface every time.

Center Punch
We use dedicated alpine center punches to index holes through the factory jig, ensuring each screw hole is perfectly centered. This also lets usprecisely verify binding-hole compatibilityduring remounts—checking patterns before drilling to maintainsafe distancesfrom existing holes and ensure a clean, reliable mount.

Perfect holes every time
We use only premium, ski-specific drill bits from Wintersteiger and professional Festool drills, ensuring clean, precise holes at the exact depth —every time.

Precision tapped holes
We use dedicated alpine taps and spiral-fluted bottom taps (Binding Freedom–specific), paired with tap-mounted jig collars, to tap directly through the factory jig. This ensures perfectly straight, vertical threads and full thread engagement for maximum strength and reliability.

Countersunk screws
We countersink all holes with dedicated ski countersinks to ensure a perfectly flat mount. This prevents top sheet “volcanoing” when screws are driven, so the binding sits perfectly flush and evenly across the ski.

Torqued to spec
We useski-binding–specific waterproof glue, and wetorque every binding screw to the manufacturer’s spec(usually4 N·m) using adedicated torque-limiting screwdriver—ensuring each fastener is set precisely to spec and never over-tightened or stripped.

Toe height is perfectly set
Weset toe height at the AFD precisely using a go/no-go gauge, ensuring correct clearance for smooth boot sliding andconsistent, spec-accurate release.

Forward pressure accurately set
We set forward pressure precisely to the manufacturer’s spec for each binding model. For touring/pin bindings, we also use dedicated forward-pressure gauges for every model to verify exact settings.

We test EVERY binding
We test every binding on our calibrated ski-binding tester to confirm it meets the manufacturer’s specifications for your skier profile. This verifies that your selected DIN settings release within spec at both toe and heel for safe, accurate, consistent performance.
